Household Supplies and Winter Clothing for Refugee Families from Nepal

We have learned of three families from Nepal who are in desperate need of household items and warm winter clothing. Donations of the following items may be brought to the church office: twin or double bed blankets, sheets, pillowcases, towels, dishes, pots and pans, silverware, mugs or glasses; warm clothing for children (girls ages 3, 6, 15; boys ages 10 and 12) and two young men in their 20’s. Thank you for continued generosity to help these families!

Senior Advent Service and Luncheon

Thank you to those who assisted with the Senior Advent service on December 2, including the Brass Angels Bell Choir; and to everyone who helped with the wonderful holiday luncheon which followed:  Char Kloster and Marilyn Treharne, who prepared the delicious meal; those who helped with serving and clean up; Patches and Projects members for making the table favors and setting the tables; John Olson, who drove the church bus to provide transportation that day. Approximately 140 people attended the luncheon, including residents of St. Vrain Manor, who joined First Lutheran members as our guests that day.

Please call the church office this week to assist in any of these ways! Thank you.

Help Assemble Christmas Eve Bulletins

Six or eight people would be appreciated to help assemble Christmas Eve bulletins on Wednesday, December 23 at 1:00 p.m. Please call the church office if you would like to help with this project. Thank you.

Altar Care and Ushers

The Altar Care committee is responsible for changing the candles, paraments, and altar linens as needed. Training is provided, and volunteers serve for one month at a time. Helpers are needed for the months of March, June, and July. Adults and youth are invited to share hospitality by serving as ushers. There are numerous openings for either 8:30 or 11:00 worship. Please call the church office to serve in these ministries. Thank you.

OUR Center Food Drive

and Socks, Gloves, and Hats for Clothing Bank

Through December we collect non-perishable food for OUR Center Emergency Pantry. Needed items include: cereal, canned fruits and vegetables, canned soups, pasta, tomato products, macaroni and cheese, meat or protein items, and personal care items. Please bring these items to the collection bin in the church office. Warm socks, gloves, and hats for adults and children may be brought to the Christmas tree in church or to the church office. These gifts will be donated to the OUR Center Clothing Bank after Christmas. Thank you for sharing generously to help those in need in our community!
