Transition Task Force – Formation and Purpose

Last Tuesday (June 2) the FELC Church Council met to select names for the Transition Task Force. They put together a list of possible Transition Task Force members and will be sending out letters and contact people over the next several days, with the intention of having an initial meeting on June 16.

The Transition Task Force is not the Call Committee! The Transition Task Force will meet for he next 4 to 8 months to study the our congregation’s history, who we are now, and look at where God is calling us to be. This work will involve gathering information from the congregation in several different ways. This could include personal conversations, surveys in bulletins or online, large congregational meetings, and others.

The task force will also be gathering information about our community, including demographic information, perceptions of our church in the community and more.

All of this information will be used to create a Mission Site Profile that will be used to help match our congregation with potential Pastoral Candidates.

More information will be posted in this feed as we move forward into this process.
