Follow this link to the
Group VBS website for First Lutheran Church. From
there you can learn more about volunteer opportunities, register
as a volunteer and register campers!
Campers will need to fill out the
Rainbow Trail health form.
Volunteers will need to fill out the
First Lutheran SAFE form.
Both are needed by the first day of camp (June 9th), extra's
will be available that day. |
Every summer we invite the children of our congregation and from
the community to come for a week packed full of fun experience
and learning about God’s great love in Christ.
The theme this year is
Power Lab.
A team of four trained and energetic camp counselors will come
from
Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp,
in
Canon City, Colorado,
to help lead the week and work with our
youth. At Day Camp the
children will learn about
Jesus through songs, crafts,
Bible stories, snacks, games and many other activities.
ALL THIS AND IT’S FREE!
The only donation we request is a snack donation, bring a
package of Gold Fish crackers on the
first day of camp.
Children
age 3 to those going into 8th grade are welcome to come.
3 year-olds through
those children entering Kindergarten in the fall will meet from
9 until noon.
We hope to see your children or grandchildren this
summer.
Children
1st grade and up
are asked to bring a sack lunch Monday through Thursday of Day
Camp.
If you can help for a day or the whole week… we are always in great need of
willing adults. Check out
the inline registration link!
Please register your campers by Sunday, May
18, 2008.
We will take
registrations after this date, but knowing in advance will help
us make the best plans for your child. |

Power Lab is a program developed
by Group Publishing in Loveland.
Each day explores a story about Jesus’ ministry and the
ministry of the apostles.
The stories are; Jesus heals 10 lepers (Luke 17:11-19),
Jesus gives sight to a blind man (John 9:1-41), Jesus gives
Peter courage to walk on water (Matthew 14:22-33), Jesus dies
and comes back to life (Luke 23:26-24:53) and the Holy Spirit at
Pentecost (Acts 2:1-47).
Power Lab engages the campers
with these stories through fun, science-themed activities.
Each activity gives the campers hands on experiences to
reinforce the Gospel message.
Power Lab also helps us to
organize our volunteers!
Campers are divided into small (5 to 7 children)
relational groups to help facilitate learning and friendship.
Prayerfully consider being a Day
Camp volunteer! Come
be part of a great experience!
