On May 1,
2010 over 40 women came together at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in
Longmont for the annual Boulder Cluster Spring Event, with several
women attending from First Lutheran. Pastor Barb Lemke led us in an
invigorating song and dance and presented “This is the Day which the
Lord has made…What are you going to do about it?” Intern Pastor
Sarah Anderson shared pictures and stories from a trip to the
Parliament of World Religions. Attendees brought and exchanged May
Baskets that were filled with candies, Bible verses, flowers,etc.
We concluded the event with a worship service and the induction of
new cluster officers.
Fall 2010 WOMEN’S RETREAT at Rainbow Trail

“Spiritually Charged”
Put your feet up and unwind at this Fall Retreat! Sara Larson
Woodruff joins us as the guest speaker. Arrive at Rainbow
Trail Thursday evening at 5:00 (plan on eating dinner here!),
September 10, and begin getting to know the women around you.
Friday and Saturday morning will begin with nutritious and
delicious breakfasts, and then will move into morning worship.
The morning and afternoon schedule for both Friday and Saturday
will be open with time to stretch yourself physically and
spiritually on the low and high challenge courses, rock
climbing, seek out various hikes for the changing Aspens, or
hang out with Chris and learn how to make some homemade goodies!
Don't worry, there will be a massage therapist to rub out any
soreness or relax any stressed muscles! You will have the option
to fill your time with a nap, a good book, some hot cider on the
front porch of Columbine, or just some quality personal time.

FLW will again offer scholarships to help with the cost of the
retreat. We currently have two scholarships of $100 each.
More scholarships may be available in August. Please
contact Terri Parsell-Sherry if you are interested in attending,
carpooling or receiving a scholarship.

July 22 at noon in the Fireside Room.
Rachel Circle meets
the fourth Wednesday of the month. The next meeting is July 21 at 9:30 am.
Naomi Circle
meets the fourth Wednesday of the month. The next meeting
is July 22.
Sarah Circle
meets the third Tuesday of the month in the Fireside Room; the
next meeting is July 15 at 7:00 p.m.

You are invited to participate in the 2010 Convention of the Rocky
Mountain Synod Women of the ELCA September 24-26, 2010. All ELCA
women and guests are welcome to attend the convention to participate
in worship, Bible study, and fellowship among all the Bold Women
of the ELCA.
