Don't miss the annual tradition of celebrating Advent at the beautiful Ryssby Church, adorned with candlelight and resonating with wonderful music. This year's Ryssby Candlelight Worship services will be held on:
- Saturday, December 13 at 4:00 PM, 5:15 PM, 6:30 PM, and 7:45 PM
- Sunday, December 14 at 4:00 PM, 5:15 PM, and 6:30 PM
Each year, the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Longmont, Colorado, proudly hosts the Ryssby Christmas Candlelight Services at the historic Ryssby Church, a landmark established by Swedish settlers in 1878. This cherished tradition, which began in 1938, brings together a series of seven services over the second full weekend of December. Attendees can look forward to music from the First Lutheran Chancel Choir and other musicians, traditional Christmas carols, and the Christmas Story, as told in the Gospel of Luke, read in Swedish.
Saturday services will be conducted by Bishop Meghan Johnston Aelabouni, Bishop of the ELCA Rocky Mountain Synod, and Sunday services by Pastor Garrett Struessel of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Longmont.
HOW TO MAKE RESERVATIONS:
Starting Tuesday, November 18, reservations open to the public and can be obtained online at Eventbrite by clicking HERE! If you prefer, you may also submit the Reservation Request Form included in the Weekend Reminder and return to the church office or email Peggy Shupe at peggyshupe@outlook.com or call Peggy at 303-638-0036.
FIRST COME FIRST SERVED reservations are required for entry and will be limited to 175 reservations per service. Last day for reservations will be Saturday, December 13th at noon. Please get your reservations in early!
