Weekend Reminder - August 14, 2026

 

Saturday, August 15

  • 10:00am-1:00pm – Gluten Free Communion Bread Baking in the downstairs kitchen
  • 5:30pm – Worship
  • 6:30pm-8:00pm - Third Saturday Game Night - Following the Saturday evening worship service, we will meet in the Big Room to enjoy all sorts of games and fellowship! Bring a friend! Everyone is invited! A fun time, popcorn and lemonade will be provided!

Sunday, August 16

Save your change!  Bring it to our “Noisy Offering".  All funds will be designated to the St Vrain Valley Schools Educational Foundation, Supplies for Success program to help provide backpacks and school supplies to those in need. Thank you for supporting children and youth in our community.

  • 8:00am – Worship in the Courtyard
  • 9:30am - Worship and Livestream - “Blessing of the Backpacks” & “Noisy Offering” during worship. Children, youth, and teachers are invited to bring their backpacks to church. Come for a blessing, prayer, and backpack tag as a prayer of protection before going back to school. After worship we will provide goodies and games for all!!
  • 11:30am – Worship Committee in the Conference Room
  • 6:00pm-8:00pm - Youth Pool Party - at Longmont Shores Neighborhood. Middle and high school youth will join with youth from Bethlehem Lutheran for a pool party, games, and snacks.  Sign up to bring your favorite treat.

Monday, August 17

  • 4:30pm - First Lutheran Summer Golf League at Sunset Golf Course continues through Monday, August 31. Please contact Rick Samson for more details rick@samsonlongmontlaw.com.

Tuesday, August 18

  • 3:00pm-4:00pm - Parish House Return to Housing Project Meeting in Room 8
  • 4:00pm - Personnel Committee Meeting in the Conference Room
  • 5:00pm-6:00pm - Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Meeting in the Conference Room. This committee will guide the congregation through the Reconciling in Christ (RIC) process offered by Reconciling Works. The purpose of the RIC Program is to ensure the welcome, inclusion, celebration, and advocacy for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions; work for racial equity and commit to anti-racist work and support the national program.   • 10:45am -Sunday School Kick Off/Rally Day - All children Preschool-Grade 5 are invited to the courtyard to kick off the year of, "God's Super Heros".  All middle and high school youth are invited to the youth room with Deacon Korra for conversation and sweet treats.
  • 10:45am - Acolyte Training- in the Sanctuary for all 6th graders or anyone who needs a refresher.
  • 10:45am – Fixer-Uppers Meeting in Room 8
  • 11:45am - Confirmation Kick-Off/Rally Day- Youth grades 6-8, along with parents, are invited to meet in the Big Room to hear about all that is happening with confirmation this year
