Weekend Reminder - December 5, 2025

 

 

Colorado FriendShip Giving Tree - This year's Colorado FriendShip Giving Tree should be set up in the Narthex by December 6th which is a quick turnaround this year. Please grab a gift tag from the Colorado FriendShip Giving Tree for needy students in the St Vrain Valley School District. Bring the wrapped item and place it under the giving tree with the tag on the wrapped gift by December 14th by noon for delivery to the schools before winter break! Thank you for helping spread the joy of the season!

Saturday, December 6

  • 9:00am-11:00am - The Alternative Giving Fair Donation Drop Off  -  Don't forget, donated items can be dropped off in the Church Conference Room, Saturday, December 6th from 9-11am. Please go-ahead and price your donations. Tags are available in the Narthex and will be in the Conference room during drop off.  If you have any questions, please contact Stephanie Nieuwlandt, nieuwlandt33@msn.com or 303-774-9383.   • 9:30am - Worship (Livestream)
  • 10:45am Sunday School Hour -  
    • Pre K-5 Sunday School in Room 5 (The Old Fellowship Hall downstairs)
    • FLY (First Lutheran Youth) - Middle & High School time in the FLY youth room.
    • Parents of Sunday School children are invited to attend a weekly time of fellowship, prayer support, and information sharing.  Join Deacon Korra downstairs at the large table and chairs outside the Sunday School classrooms from 10:45-11:45 for great conversation and coffee
  • 11:15-Adult Sunday School in the Conference Room  led by Andy Meyer will be transitioning to a new book entitled "The Tears of Things: Prophetic Wisdom for an Age of Outrage"  by Richard Rohr. In this book the author takes an in-depth and fascinating look at the message the Old Testament prophets delivered to the people of Isreal (roughly 800 B.C. - 400 B.C.).  He then examines how those same messages apply so aptly to those of us living in America today.  If you are joining by Zoom, please use this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83452511329?from=addon
  • Homebound Communion, Consecrated and Delivered to homebound members.  If you know of anyone who can not make it to church and would like communion, please leave their name with the church office. Our Homebound Communion team will follow the first Sunday of every month.

  • 1:00pm - Staff Meeting in the Fireside Room
  • 6:00pm - Council Meeting in the Conference Room

Thursday, December 11

  • 10:30am - Adult Bible Study - Thursday Bible Study Holiday Pot Luck in the Fireside Room: Bring your favorite dish to share and your appetite to celebrate the Christmas Season with your Thursday students of The Word.
