Weekend Reminder - July 3, 2026

 

The Church Council invites members and friends of the congregation to attend informal listening and conversation gatherings in the Fireside Room from 6:30-7:30 pm each evening from Friday, July 3 through Friday, May 10 including July 4 and 5.  There is no agenda and is an opportunity to hear from you about your thoughts and perspectives about First Lutheran Church. 

Friday, July 3

CHURCH OFFICE  WILL BE CLOSED

Saturday, July 4 – Happy Independence Day!

  • 11:00am - July 4th Gathering & Longmont Symphony Concert at Thompson Park- Gather under the shaded tents provided by First Lutheran to enjoy the orchestra concert and all the activities on the 4th of July. Bring your own lunch and chairs. Tables will be provided.
  • 5:30pm - Worship

We welcome Pastor Ann Hultquist for the month of July at all worship services.  Many of you know Pastor Ann well from her time here previously at First Lutheran.

Sunday, July 5

Coffee with Council - Please join us for Coffee with Council on Sunday before or after worship!  Council invites your suggestions and comments anytime you want to share.

  • 8:00am – Worship in the Courtyard
  • 9:30am - Worship and Livestream

Homebound Communion, Consecrated and Delivered to homebound members.  If you know of anyone who cannot make it to church and would like communion, please leave their name with the church office. Our Homebound Communion team will follow the first Sunday of every month.

Monday, July 6

  • First Lutheran Summer Golf League at Sunset Golf Course will start on Monday, June 1 and go  through Monday August 31. Please contact Rick Samson for more details rick@samsonlongmontlaw.com.

Tuesday, July 7

  • 1:00pm- Staff Meeting in the Fireside Room.

Wednesday, July 8

  • 11:00am-2:00pm - Touch of Craft meets in room 6. For more information, please email jennsamson1@gmail.com or flctouchofcraft@gmail.com.
  • 6:30-8:00pm - Bike Night - Meet at Roosevelt Park. Bike Night is free to join, family-friendly and always open to new riders. Wear your God's Work Our Hands First Lutheran T-Shirt if you choose. No need to RSVP.  Just who up and fund each other in the group.

Friday, July 10

  • 9:30am–11:00am - Prayer Shawl in the Fireside Room.  Along with the joy of fellowship, our Prayer Shawl group is called to create shawls for those needing support during celebrations or sorrows. No matter your knitting or crocheting skill level - come, learn, and make a shawl!
