Weekend Reminder - September 18, 2026

 

Saturday, September 19

  • 5:30pm - Worship Service
  • 6:30pm-8:00pm - Third Saturday Game Night - Following the Saturday evening worship service, we will meet in the Big Room to enjoy all sorts of games and fellowship! Bring a friend! Everyone is invited! A fun time, popcorn and lemonade will be provided!

Sunday, September 20

  • 9:30am - Worship and Livestream
  • Blessing of the Car Keys - we will have a blessing for anyone who wants to have their car keys blessed in worship. We are especially celebrating our soon to be or recent drivers with a blessing at the altar. 
  • Faith Formation for All Ages Hour
    • 10:45am - Children for all Preschool-Grade 5 children meets in Room 5
    • 11:15am - Adult Forum Class will meet in the Conference Room 30 minutes later than normal, so people can attend the budget meeting (or at least a portion of it) and still come to the class. Andy Meyer will revive one of his previous presentations from the Living the Questions class, so there is no need to read or prepare anything.
  • 10:45am - Budget Review Meeting in the Friendship Center (Big Room). The proposed budget for the October 1, 2026-September 30, 2027 fiscal year will be presented and available for review. The Budget Committee and the Church Council will be available to discuss the proposed budget and answer questions prior to the September 27 Congregation Special Meeting called for the sole purpose of considering the approval of the 2026-2027 Mission Spending Plan (budget) for the congregation.
  • 5:00pm-7:00pm - High School and Middle School Youth Group at Bethlehem Lutheran. Do you wonder what gifts God has given you?  Do you wonder how your God given abilities can bless others? Come find out through activities and a spiritual gifts inventory. Join Bethlehem Lutheran Youth at Bethlehem Lutheran for interactive games and learning. Enjoy learning about your spiritual gifts with games, and a picnic style dinner.  Hot dogs and drinks provided.  Please bring a side dish, or dessert to share.

  • 10:30am – Adult Lectionary Study in the Fireside Room - The Thursday Morning Bible Study is being converted…. to a lectionary study!  Ever wondered about the biblical passages read in Sunday worship? Ever wanted to know more about them — their context, their tie (or lack of it) to the other readings, what to make of it all?  We are going to talk about the readings for worship on the following weekend. If you have brilliant ideas, you might be quoted in the Sunday sermon. So, come and see — and participate. It’s going to be a great adventure, for more information contact Pastor Stephanie.
  • 5:30pm - Faith Formation Meeting in the Fireside Room
  • 7:00pm-8:30pm – Chancel Choir Rehearsal – Anyone who enjoys lifting their voice in song is welcome to join us!   • 3:00pm-8:00pm - OUR Center 40th Anniversary Celebration at OUR Center 220 Collyer St, Longmont. OUR Center was incorporated on September 25, 1986, and they are excited to celebrate this milestone with the community. They will have food trucks, kids’ activities, entertainment by dance band Charted Territory (Classic Rock), and a special history room display. We hope you can stop by! See Flyer for more details.

Sunday, September 27

  • 9:30am - Worship and Livestream
  • 10:45 - Faith Formation for All Ages Hour
    • Children and Youth Classes for all Preschool-Grade 5 children meets in Room 5
    • NO Adult Forum Class this week. Adults are encouraged to attend the Special Congregation Meeting.
  • 10:45am - Special Congregation Meeting in the Friendship Center (Big Room) for the sole purpose of considering the approval of the 2026-2027 Mission Spending Plan (budget) for the congregation. All voting members are encouraged to attend this meeting. The congregation has changed its fiscal year to October 1-September 30 of each year. Thank you for your participation in the ministry and programs of the congregation.
  • Parish House Transitional Project Q&A immediately following the September 27th Special Congregation Meeting in the Friendship Center (Big Room) - There will be a time of Q and A for the Parish House Transitional Project by the committee working on this project. All are welcome to learn more about this exciting ministry opportunity.
