Legacy Endowment funds benefit a variety of FELC missions. Gifted resources are invested for long-term earnings, enabling impactful ministry. Funds grow more quickly through gifting than through conservative investments. Benefits from gifts are intended to be perpetual resources for a wide scope of visions that may not be possible through our annual budget.

Endowment and Good Samaritan funds are managed through Thrivent Charitable Impact and Investing. ThriventCharitable.com

How Can I Make A Gift?

Contributions to the FELC mission legacy are greatly appreciated. Aside from direct cash, securities, or real estate, other resources may be implemented to benefit the endowment mission and you. You are encouraged to consult your financial advisor about possibilities:

  • Wills: A bequest permits you to make a gift to a fund upon your passing, while determining the nature and extent today.
  • Trusts/ Annuities: Trust arrangements can provide lifetime income to you, and thereafter benefit the church in your name. Some provide tax savings.
  • IRA contributions: Utilizing a Charitable Rollover Provision, also known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), donors 70 ½+ can transfer funds directly to charitable organizations, tax free. At age 73, transfers count toward RMDs. As you review your annual IRA finances, please consider including church endowment contributions.
  • Donor Advised Funds: Tax deductible contributions to your sponsor managed charitable giving account
  • Beneficiaries: Retirement fund or insurance designations

Memorial Fund

The Memorial Fund is for honorary gifts given in memory of loved ones.

Specified gifts contribute to ministry and mission in tangible ways beyond the scope of regularly budgeted outlays, including:

  • Support for worship and music via hymnals, altar linens, banners and seasonal decor, instruments and other supplies
  • Support for caregiving, youth and children's ministries
  • Outreach, education and service projects Local and Global
  • Furnishings and other equipment

The family's wishes are of absolute importance. We safeguard memorial gifts until such a time that family members designate to a project that best honors and celebrates the memory of their loved one.
