Kidfaith is a collection of ministries for households with children 5th grade and younger, including Sunday education programs, worship leadership, faith formation activities, Vacation Bible School, and more!
Sunday School (age 3 to 5th grade) features Bible lessons, crafts, singing, snacks and lots of fun every Sunday at 10:45am in Room 5 (the old Fellowship Hall downstairs), September to May. We use Whirl, which is a Lectionary based Sunday School curriculum from Augsburg Fortress and Sparkhouse. What does that mean? It means that (most of the time) the same readings will be heard in worship AND in Sunday School! This is a great opportunity for families to connect about the same text and share different things that they learned in worship and Sunday School! You can learn more about Whirl at wearesparkhouse.org/kids/whirl/.
Nursery is available for children under 3 during the Sunday School hour!
Vacation Bible School/Day Camp is a summer event that gathers over 150 children (members and community friends) each year. Children gather for a week of laughter, friendship, singing, Bible study, crafts, snacks and activities. Since 2021 we have collaborated with Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp in organizing this event.
Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp is a summer opportunity for children to spend time in the mountains with family and friends through Household Weekend Camp and Youth Week Long Camp. Learn more on our Camping Ministry page.
Meet in Room 4 (downstairs Sunday School room) to meet the puppets and learn how to tell Bible stories with puppets.
We will meet again on Wednesday, July 29 and discuss the possibility of doing a puppet skit for a children’s message in worship for August. Contact Deacon Korra if your child plans on attending.
