Diana Marie Frances Austin was born 9th January, 1998 in Longmont, Colorado. Diana was the only child of Andrew R.E. Austin and Deborah L. Rucker (formerly Austin). Diana lived in Mead, Colorado from birth until 2006, after her parents parted she settled in Frederick, Colorado in 2008. Diana lived in Colorado her entire life and entered into rest at her home on 14th December, 2025. In her early years Diana travelled extensively as a result of her father’s business trips, and went to Disney World almost every year and spent considerable time with her extended family in England when possible.
In May of 2005 Diana was diagnosed as type I diabetic, which caused her numerous health issues, yet she fought it bravely. Diana was extremely caring and supportive of her many friends, a number of which she never met in person, but if they needed her support she was always available. Diana loved animals, and adored the family’s pets and in particular her own two dogs, Taos and Trubel (Trouble).
Diana was an amazing artist and was always creative; she was very involved with ‘cosplay’ and associated events, and connected with many people through these events. Diana was very practical and learned to use a (1940’s) sewing machine, she made her own costumes for many of these events. Around this time, her late teens, Diana adopted the name Dori (or Dorian). Her love for theatre and music drew her to be an early fan of K-pop and she became conversational in the Korean language.
Now known as Dorian she was very successful in her employment with Marriott hotels for some five years, and then with Carbon Valley Academy as Ms. Dori for about the same amount of time. Dorian was wonderful in customer service and supporting children, especially special needs children.
Another practical aspect was her understanding of automobiles, and she would work on her own car and help any friend who did not understand, even just going to change a flat tyre for a friend if needed. Dorian would drive across many states to meet with friends.
In late June 2025 Dorian flew to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to meet in person with a contact she had made online, Kori-Ann Parrack. Dorian returned on 10th July and announced she wanted to move to Canada, and on 15th / 16th August she drove her loaded car to Edmonton. On 5th September she was fortunate enough to see the Northern Lights! On 31st October, 2025 as Diana she married Kori-Ann, and planned to stay in Canada. From 8th to 16th of November, the two ‘honeymooned’ at Disney Land.
Legally as Diana, she was advised by Canadian immigration that unfortunately her paperwork was not in order and she was instructed to return to the USA. On 21st and 22nd November she drove back to Frederick, Colorado, seeing a family of five deer on the road in Montana. Sadly, she never returned to Canada, as she entered into rest on 14th December, 2025.
Diana is survived by her spouse, Kori-Ann Parrack, her parents, her maternal grandmother, two aunts and an uncle in the USA, an uncle in England; numerous cousins in USA and England as well as their next generations.
